A BIG THANK YOU to everyone that has helped in any way with the Elms Park Playscape! This project was taken on as a result of our Crossroads District challenging each congregation to do a project for “Taking It To Your Streets” in their own communities instead of doing something in the City of Flint as is normally done.

CHRISTMAS TEA COMMITTEE SIGNUP. A committee for this year’s Christmas Tea is forming. It’s first meeting will be Wednesday, August 9 at 10:00AM in the Lounge. All ladies are welcome to help plan a wonderful Tea in December. Any questions, please contact Judy Barker at 814-7271.

ENDOWMENT NEWS-If you are one of the many people who do not have an estate plan in writing, do you know who your heirs will be? Is your church included in your giving plans? Without a will, state laws will determine who receives your estate and no charity will receive a gift from your estate. Be sure your estate planning is up-to-date and expresses your wishes. Your gifts to your church are a testimony to your faith and the confidence you have in your church. Both lifetime and testamentary gifts through your will, express your feelings in a meaningful way. Any questions, ask David Beckwith or your tax advisor.
