Don’t Miss our Sunday School Kickoff on Sunday, September 12th at 9:45am!

Growing Fruit of the Spirit

Together we’ll explore how Sunday School helps to cultivate the Fruit of the Spirit in our lives, share what Sunday School classes we offer, and celebrate the Fruit of the Spirit among us!  It’ll promise to be a time of fellowship, learning, and fun.  Whether you are a long-time Sunday School member, a first-timer, or simply want to try something new, this is a great time to join us.

Gather in the Sanctuary at 9:45am, and after some group activities, we’ll send everyone off to a shortened version of a Sunday School class.

Feel free to bring an offering of canned fruit that Sunday for our Food Pantry as we seek to share the Fruit of the Spirit with others, too!

Questions?  Contact Rachel D. Benton, Minister of Discipleship at 810-635-4555, ext. 204 or at rbenton@umc-sc.org.

Each Sunday from 9:45-10:45am (Sept-June), children ages 2 through 5th grade gather in age-appropriate classes as they explore God’s love in a caring environment. After a time of special music, children participate in bible stories, crafts, games, and other creative activities.

Here’s what some of our children have to say about Sunday School…

  • I have fun. I get to see my friends.
  • I get to learn about Jesus and God.
  • I like when we sing songs about Jesus.
  • I like it when we make posters of Jesus.
  • Sunday School is important to me because we learn about God and praise him. We also have a better relationship with him when we go to Sunday School.
  • In Sunday School we learn about God’s love, and what you need to do to be faithful to God.
  • My favorite thing about Sunday School is the music class.
